Today I was listening to the radio and I heard a bank advertisement: It went something like this: I flew to Cyprus instead of Paris, because the loan I took was too small”. Take a loan from us and you will be able to vacation in Paris. - Are you crazy? Do you want people to get into debt just so they can travel abroad? ** Do not get into debt for recreation and vacations. Do not take that loan. There is no problem in taking a loan for investment in your business, for education, or for your future. Do not take a loan for consumption and wasteful spending. ** I lived several years in the U.S., where I saw millions of people who got themselves into debts of 30-50 thousand dollars on shopping (!) just on their credit cards. During the recession, millions of families went bankrupt. ** This part of western culture in unacceptable and dangerous, we should not import it to Israel. ** As for the bank: You are not an educational entity, you are a private company meant to profit, but this time you guys went too far. Go with a different advertisement.
