Today, I went to EPCOT again, this time only with Diana and Olivia - TopicsExpress

Today, I went to EPCOT again, this time only with Diana and Olivia (which was an extremely nice change from being peppered with questions often). Since we were to leave to visit them at The Yact Club around 10:00 a.m.; I was able to have a small breakfast of cereal and orange juice again. At the resort, we just hung around (only to meet up with Diana and Carmela after about an hour we got there) until Diana and Olivia were ready to go at 11:30. Much to my surprise, the park could be walked to right from the resort, where we entered through the World Showcase side (its a shame I could not take another look through it; I would have liked to see Japan a bit more, and maybe even buy something from there). The first thing we did was eat lunch at Sunshine Seasons (?) in Living with the Land, where I had Vegetable Roll sushi (made right in the Japan Pavilion in the World Showcase), a banana, and a couple of chocolate chip cookies free from gluten and allergens (not for such health concerns, but they were just a quick bit to grab). We went on the adventurous Soarin ride (this time, the scents were present, and at least Honey wasnt there having irrational fears about falling off onto somewhere in California) and Living with the Land (its always nifty to see the agriculture technology, and species of plants they grow, in the vicinity), which would be the second time I went on both rides for this Disney World trip. The Seas with Nemo and Friends was ridden on again (which is loosely based on the Disney/Pixar film Finding Nemo where the gang is trying to find Nemo), but this time we went to see some aquatic animals, including manatees, and seeing a scuba diving demonstration that were at the end of the ride. The show Captain EO was seen after that, which is the re-release of the 1986 3-D short film where Michael Jackson is a space captain that turns a hostile alien world into a colorful dance floor (this was pretty retro-cool and crazy-good). Olivia and I rode on the more intense Orange Mission when we rode on Misson: SPACE (Diana took the less intense Green Mission, but I rode on that one when I went with Grandpa the other day); even though it was a great experience as always, I sure felt a little dizzy for a while after. We waited a little while to get on Test Track due to weather conditions, but it sure was a nice thrill to go on again (they added a new feature where patrons can design their own vehicles and have their performances compared to other car designs belonging to those riding in the same test car). The last thing we did was ride on Spaceship Earth (I would say that its better than the 2010 iteration just a bit, but it cant ever beat the 2001 version, in my opinion) before we headed to the Animal Kingdom Lodge (?) resort where pictures of ungulates and avians were taken around the resort, and a nice buffet dinner was had at Buma. We went back to the condo after that, but tomorrow is the Animal Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon for our last day in Walt Disney World.
