Today, I will visit Commtech Comprehensive School in Phahameng, Free State on the APPLY NOW/ Khetha Career Guidance Campaign to encourage learners to apply on time to institutions of higher learning and thus avert possible stampedes and long queues at the beginning of the 2015 academic year. I will then proceed to Motheo TVET College at 10am to officially launch the month of August as the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) month with the first week now declared the Open Week for High Schools in order for colleges to promote their programme offerings. I will further visit engineering workshops at Motheo TVET college to encourage our aspirant artisan learners to forge ahead with the work they do so that we build a strong caliber of artisan citizenry in the country. I will then move to the Central University of Technology (CUT) at 2pm to open the Artisan Seminar wherein I will be advising role players, industry in particular, to promote the active development of artisans with the aim of meeting the targets set out by the National Development Plan (NDP).
