Today, Id like to share that the VideoLAN team is looking for some great women who would like to join us for OPW (https://wiki.gnome.org/OutreachProgramForWomen) and work on some interesting projects that you can find here: https://wiki.videolan.org/OPW_Summer_2014/ What is it about: - You get a project that you’re responsible for and choose yourself (we love receiving original proposals, so share them) - You get a mentor (they’re nice and love to help!!) - it’s a full-time job for 3 months from May till August (work from home or anywhere) - we have a broad variety of working areas available matching most skill levels, from JavaScript via C and its derivatives to down to plain assembly. You’ll get: - a $5500 Stipend - a paid trip to the VideoLAN Developer Days which will be either in Dublin or Paris - you dont necessarily need to be a formal student and not to mention you will learn a lot, meet interesting people, have a great reference and something you worked on will be used by millions of people.
