Today Im running for two American Heroes at the Tunnel to Towers South Carolina. Thomas Kuvekis and Cpl. Steven Diaz. Thomas was a member of Squad 252 in Brooklyn, NY on September, 11, 2001. Thomas and his men of Squad 252 were rendering aid to those in need outside of the Twin Towers when the buildings collapsed. I want to thank Kristen Kuvekis for allowing me to share his story and run for your Father, an American Hero. Semper Fidelis. Today, Im also running for an OIF/OEF Veteran, Cpl. Steven Diaz. Cpl. Steven Diaz is a Purple Heart recipient injured in Iraq on March 26, 2005. While conducting combat operations near the Syrian border, Cpl. Steven Diaz and his security patrol were struck by two 155 arty rounds. Today Cpl. Diaz is a member of Hidden Wounds, a non-profit organization in Columbia, SC. Their mission is to provide interim and emergency counseling services to ensure the psychological health and well-being to all Veterans and their families. Get in the Fight. Semper Fidelis, 1/6 Hard.
