Today (January 3, 2015) is the 12th day of the Jewish Month of Tevet, the Shabbat day of the week...and if youre watching for the Coming of Christ, then you need to know that you need to be observing the Jewish Feast Holidays on the Lunisolar Hebrew Calender and not the modern day Gregorian Calender, as the Gregorian Calender is primarily a solar calender and does not include lunar activities. Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the Heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and for years. According to the Jews, seasons are a mis-translation. Where we think of seasons as spring, summer, autumn, and fall, the Hebrew text states that this should translate to feasts, such as the Passover, Sukkot, and Shavuot, the three most important pilgrimage festivals. These feasts are extremely important, as they are seen as a dress rehearsal of the coming of the Lord. They are an appointed meeting that God put in place so that we can meet with HIM throughout the year and know what things will come in the future. Matthew 7:21-23 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ These feasts are a time for us to remember God. To learn, and to know God. If we do not observe the Lord in the time that he has set for us to do so, then he will not know us later on. Todays Scripture Reading comes from Genesis 47:28-50:26, stating : 1 Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. 2 And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. 3 And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? Its crazy that I never knew about this before. Just think of how many of us would truly be left behind because Christ would have come like a thief in the night. We were all watching on the wrong calender. We would have missed everything and only woken up when tribulation began to occur.
