Today a fan asked me if I support Israel Or Palestine. I responded by saying there is never ever an reason to take a life and that I do not support anyone who kills. Upon further research I am deeply sickened. We are all human. All the same. One blood. We love our children. Celebrate life. Feel and love no different than one another. We have different cultures and languages yes, but how did we let politics and religion erase compassion and community? The fact that some humans kill over an imaginary figures they believe exists maybe somewhere in the sky is an absolutely insane concept to me. Im sitting here tonight stressing over my career in music and yet I have never had to worry about war, disease, or famine tearing apart my family or future. I am deeply upset and frustrated because I feel so helpless on this matter. Be grateful? Its hard to be grateful without feeling a guilt. A guilt that I have lived so comfortably on a planet that has allowed this to go on for so long. Am I lucky? Was it fate? Is this even fair? Is anyone else out there feeling this?
