Today, a homeless person was hit by a truck outside my work. Its been on my mind just thinking about how sad it is their life ended so abruptly, if theyll be missed and how sad itd be if they werent. Im wondering what itd be like to have people look at you everyday as if you dont have just as much potential as everyone else. And whatever reason that person ended up homeless, how tragic itd be if they didnt enjoy their time on earth very much. I see homeless people everyday in kings cross and as I watch them deteriorate mentally and physically I wonder what hope is left for many of them to integrate back into society. I really think it could happen to any of us. We can do better as a society. Thanks to everyone who helps people living on the street find dignity. Rest in peace friend.
