Today after work I sat in my car and cried literally. I am Doing this short term assignment where I help people get housing but I have come across so many that cant get it or have to wait, so i have to 2 connect them with homeless shelters. This assignment has truly opened my eyes to how ungrateful we can be. Having people crying telling you they will have to take their babies to foster care so that they can live on the streets is a blow to the heart. What hurt the most is as a child of God I should be in a position to do something for them and I cant and I really want to be and need to be. Today I really really realized that its not about my needs but the needs of others. Christ came and served, who are we not to follow his example. My mom taught a message today about what we are suppose to do here on earth as Christians and how we have totally been off the mark. Idk I just really want to live the life Christ intended us to live. Who cares about material things when the family you just got off the phone with will be sleeping under a bridge tomorrow? ??
