Today, at about 530pm, my husband Robert James was about a mile - TopicsExpress

Today, at about 530pm, my husband Robert James was about a mile from our house on jotemdown when his right front tire caught a little bit of ice and went over a 4 drift into a relatively deep creek...thankfully, with his quick thinking, he was able to straighten the truck enough to not go side ways and flip over into the creek but instead hit the enbankment head on..not good, but better than the alternative... he quickly rolled down his electric window when he saw the water rapidly rising so he could get out and not get stuck....he got on the hood and roof and jumped to the creek bank into a thatch of briars...during the wreck, his phone was thrown out of the cup holder somewhere in the truck so he had no way to call anyone so he started to make his way home walking...thankfully, the person who owns the property he wrecked on saw him and his submerged truck as they were leaving for work and offered to help...calling 911 to see if a unit needed to come out and when they understood he was not seriously hurt and no vehicles were blocking the road, they told him to get him.home and call another non emergency # to file a report... I thought he was joking as he walked in the door telling me he totalled the truck and it was submerged under water..until I saw the scratches on his face and neck and his wet pants up to his knees.. I am BEYOND GRATEFUL he is ok..SORE, but OKKK!!! The truck, phone and any other material items IN the truck are replaceable. ..my husband is not!!! His angel was on his shoulder today!
