Today at approximately 2:00pm, the Fort Pierce Police Department responded to the 1800 Block of Avenue M in reference to gunfire. Officers discovered Vero Beach resident, Adam Joel Anderson, date of birth of 05-24-84, had died from at least one gunshot wound. Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene by Saint Lucie County Fire Rescue. Preliminary investigation revealed that Anderson was wounded at another location before making his way the 1800 block of Avenue M. Detectives are actively working leads on a possible suspect and motive. The Fort Pierce Police Department is requesting assistance from the community in solving this case.
