Today, at the special assembly of the Synod, on the fifth ballot, we elected the Rev. Mary Froiland (Luther Valley Lutheran Church, Beloit) as Bishop of the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin, ELCA. The fifth ballot read: Mary Froiland 200 and the Rev. Bryan Engfer (Trinity Lutheran, Ft. Atkinson) 177. Pr. Wilson, Pr. Pohlman, Randy Raasch and Jonathan Woolums represented Luther Memorial. Bishop-elect Froiland begins her term on November 1.
