So this evening on the way home from work I pull off the highway - TopicsExpress

So this evening on the way home from work I pull off the highway to skip some traffic. As I get to the top of the road I see four cops waving at me. Long story short, they start giving me grief about my drivers license and the fact that there is a restriction but I am not wearing glasses. I told them that Ive had my eyes lasered last year and I no longer need to wear contacts or glasses. This seemed to be a sore point for one of the four officers and he went off to get his fine book. He tells me that by law he has to fine me because I have a restriction on my license but I am not wearing glasses or contacts. I point out again, I do not need them anymore. He says that I shouldve gone to the traffic department to apply for a new license and get the restriction removed. Is there any truth to this? Ive been pulled over a few times and this has never been a problem before. Now hes telling me by law, I have to be fined? I know atleast 6 people whove had their eyes done and have never had to rush off to the traffic department to apply for a new restrictionless license. The officer threatened 3/4 times to fine me and I told him each time to write up the fine. They also scratched through the cabin and boot of my car with out telling me why or what they were looking for. From what I can tell, nothing was removed or stolen out the vehicle. Are they allowed to do this?
