Today begins the novena to the Archangel Michael, whose Solemnity is celebrated on the 29th September (together with fellow Archangels Gabriel and Raphael). The recent and rapid decrease in the devotion towards Saint Michael is of great concern, for the less people believe in the danger of hell and eternal damnation for all those who die in mortal sin, the less is the devotion towards Michael the Prince of Angels - Saint Padre Pio of Pietralcina. Let us say often, even daily, the following prayer to the Archangel Michael, written by the great Pope Leo XIII after a terrible frightening vision which occurred on the 13th October 1883 (when the Pontiff recovered from this vision, he immediately wrote the Prayer to the Archangel Michael and that to Saint Joseph also), and since this year the Archangels feastday is only a few days before the Synod on the Family begins, let us offer this prayer for this intention as well as for all families, since Satan is causing much havoc to the institution of marriage as God established it right from the very beginning of creation, and as He wills it.
