Today has my feelings in a knot. 13 years ago today, the towers fell and forever changed the world as we know it. We will never forget. 13 years ago today, I brought Deacon home as a puppy. He forever changed my world the way I knew it. I will never forget. 5 years ago today, I was hired on by Lake Camanche in the midst of a recession. Jobs were scarce even for those who were qualified. What did I learn from all of this? The towers fell and so did many of our fellow Americans but our country moved on and became stronger. Deacon has passed but I now have Lola in my life (and Orion too). I still have my job (which drives me crazy but my co-workers are AWESOME) and thats a lot to be said in this economy. Where there is darkness, there is always light. You just have to look for it.
