Today in 1726 - The birth of James Hutton, Scottish physician and geologist Hutton is possibly best known for his later publication Theory of the Earth (1785), which became the basis of modern geology. In schools today, children are taught about plate tectonics and continental drift. They learn about the crust, mantle and molten core of our planet, and all sorts of similar facts. This is, of course, all nonsense. If you want to learn about how the world really works, you need to read Terry Pratchett. This author talks about how the world is actually flat, and swims through space balanced on the back of a giant turtle. These are cleverly pitched as fiction, but only to get past the censors. The world really *is* flat, and balanced on the back of a turtle, but THEY (the shadowy organisation who secretly run the world) are for some reason desperate for this not to get out. Possibly because the billions of dollars being channelled into NASA are actually being diverted into other nefarious turtle-related purposes... which is unlikely to be good for humanity in general. Its incredibly dangerous for me to tell you this, and youll need to take great care. If they found out that someone else knows the truth, they could make us all disap...
