Today is Congenital Diaphraghmatic Hernia Awareness Day. Dennis took this video just after our youngest daughter was born with a left sided CDH. Her diaphraphm was not attatched to her ribcage at birth and her stomach, small and large intestines, and spleen developed in her chest limiting lung development and pushing her heart completely under her right rib cage. She was also diagnosed IUGR and had a few small VSDs (holes in her heart). We were intially given poor prognosis for her survival and do not believe in dumb luck. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. ~ James 1:17. Our desire in sharing this video is to offer hope to others that have received the same diagnosis and encourage them to press in and wait for Gods perfect will. Our daughter Maddie is 7 years old now and full of life. So thankful to have this be a part of our story of His faithfulness.
