Today is December 30th 2014.....it is also day 477 on my Journey ...As I sit here in my cozy little home out here in a wonderful little piece of the country ...I need to say Thanks to the man above !! I have silently hoped and prayed for over 2 years....for God to show me mercy ...to show me that my decision to stop my addictions ...my decision to change my mental outlook on life ...I have prayed that all the People whom I caused heartaches and pains over so many years could somehow see to forgive me !! I hoped and prayed that I would be strong enough to withstand withdrawals...withstand cravings ..withstand going cold Turkey without any crutches or any meds !! I prayed that I be allowed another chance to live ...survive a transplant and open heart surgery. ..that my kids not be left without there dad !! I prayed that my family could return to the loving caring close knit family ..that we were until 2 years ago !!! Well Im not the most devout Christian in the world ..but I am truly now a Believer !! I Believe God has trials and tribulations for each one of us ...Tests that we are given on a daily basis ....You see It took my life being turned on its ear ...it took me looking death in the face ..it took me losing most everything that meant anything to me ...it was my test ...I could have continued down that path ...probably lost my faith ..lost my soul ..and eventually probably sooner than I realize ...lost my life !! Today I can very honestly say that today has been the best day In my New Life !! I spent it with ALL of my kids .My new Daughter n law....My beautiful wife ...I saw my Dawgs play an awesome game ....we had great food ..and Gosh ...you know ..I am so happy ..I am so very very happy !! GOD IS SO GOOD ...SO VERY VERY GOOD !! Goodnight my friends and from the bottom of my heart. ..Johnny Mathews loves you ♡♡♡
