Today is Martin Luther King Day. It is a day set aside to honor a great man in our nation’s history. Dr Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech was given on August 28, 1963 from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the civil rights March on Washington. His speech was the defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement. Since that day much has changed in our country in regards to race relations. But much still needs to change within people of all races in our country for Dr. King’s dream to become a complete reality. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. #MLKJr
