Today is a celebration. As an ovarian cancer survivor of 14 years - TopicsExpress

Today is a celebration. As an ovarian cancer survivor of 14 years with only one ovary (and after a devastating loss in 2012), I seriously doubted that my dream of having my own biological child would ever come to fruition. As I reach the halfway milestone of 20 weeks today, Im filled with overwhelming gratitude. At 8 weeks pregnant, I was informed that my progesterone levels were dangerously low, and through a few other scares, I didnt know if my baby would make it to this day. My only relief has come in the form of biweekly ultrasounds where I have watched my angel grow, and in the form of constant support and love from my friends. God has been so merciful. Im trying not to rush this- I document every detail and relish in watching my ever expanding belly. As I have my big 20 week anatomy scan this coming week, and as I forge ahead on the second half of this journey, I ask for prayers and positive thoughts for a healthy pregnancy and baby boy. People, dont ever give up on your dreams...even when they seem impossible. You may be pleasantly surprised. Now, little baby blue, get off your Mamas bladder! Love to all!
