Today is a memorable day for me on two counts. First and foremost, it is the 35th birthday of my oldest of 7 children, Major Christopher Alexander, US Army, pictured here with his lovely bride and mother of their four beautiful children, Susan. Bronze Star awardee for service in Iraq as a Stryker platoon leader during the Surge; 15 months in the worst hell-holes in that God-forsaken country....and brought ALL of his guys back alive and intact (over 40 of em, plus 4 Strykers). Its also the anniversary of our home being burglarized on Chriss 2nd birthday......33 years ago, obviously, wherein the thieves took numerous items, including a great Yamaha 12 string acoustic guitar....and my beautiful, much lamented, pearl white Travis Bean identical to the one pictured below. One of the two well worth remembering (Happy Birthday, son.....damned proud of you); the other......well, whoever has my guitar these years later, hope your frettin hand freezes to that solid aluminum neck or something.
