Today is my last day in Studio 301 in Sydney Australia. Producing the band East Journey featuring members of Yothu Yindi has been a great experience. These boys come from the far Northern Territory of Australia and they have a unique style that is deep and earthy. We are mixing the song Bright Light Big City right now and as you can see in this photo having some fun. I think I will be back to do more tracks soon and next time I am heading deep into their territory ( a 12 plus hour drive from Darwin). They have things their that can kill you in an instant and that sounds exciting to me. They say their 12 foot pet Crocodile knows them and keeps the other Crocs out so I guess a swim isnt out of the question. I have dedicated my life to working, teaching and sharing what I have spent my life learning in the arts with Indigenous people but know this...I am the one that always ends up learning something. Tomorrow I will meet my old Hollywood film Producer Roomate Keith Swietzer at his Fox office here in Sydney before I fly to Austin...he has a new TV series coming together that might require this Apache.
