Today is not a day for political ideology nor is it a day for Republicans vs Democrats. Today, thirteen years ago, whether you stood on the right, left, or in the middle all of us suffered the devastating loss of precious American souls due to radical Islamist and their hatred for America. Today I woke up to spend most of the morning thanking God for our soldiers, first responders and all who have given much in this fight for our very existence. To the fearless firefighters and policeman who ascended those burning towers ,not thinking of their own safety, but only to rescue those thousands of Americans in danger, thank you. To the brave few who overtook the terrorist on flight 93 ,knowing it would surely lead to their own deaths, thank you. To our soldiers, our warriors, those who on the fateful day said I will not stand idly by and watch this grievous attack go un-avenged, thank you. These are the proud Americans who were sent to a god forsaken desert half way around the world to crucify the animals who dared to step foot on our land. They gave everything, time with their children, their wives, and their families. They believed that God was on their side and what they were doing was right in the eyes of Americans. As these brave men and women assaulted the gates of Hell let us not forget that some did not come home to see their families. Many gave much, but some gave all that could be given. Those who did will forever be remembered for their valiant sacrifices and their willingness to defend their brothers in arms no matter what the cost. They are the truest and most pure embodiment of the American soul. For they do not go to war by choice but for their love of country. They are not politically motivated by greed or hatred but rather by something that transcends all things, a deep and burning love for their country. I would like to thank all of my friends and family who have given some much time away from their families to protect me and every other American from the evil in this world, for without them, we would be nothing as a nation.
