Today is the 20th Annivesary of the signing of the Violence - TopicsExpress

Today is the 20th Annivesary of the signing of the Violence Aganist Women Act. Ive posted some very important information below. While reading about it and thinking about it remember that Congress recentaly passed a Violence against Women Bill that allows Tribal Governments to try non Indians in thier tribal courts. These non tribal members were getting away with beating and abusing Native women while they were located within thier own Native Communities. There is one exception to this bill and that is Maine Indian women are specifically left out of this bill. Thanks to Senator Susan Collins who insisted they be left out or she would hold the bill up indefinetly. Her tactic worked and Maine Indian tribes were left out of the bill. So once again we are isolated to be abused. This time it is on the Congressional Record and the culprit is Susan Collins! SHE WILL NOT GET MY VOTE! HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY TO EVERYONE ELSE….
