Today is the Feast of St. Joseph, the earthly, adoptive father of Our Lord Jesus. As an adoptive father, I completely relate to the Biblical account of Joseph, and feel that he is under appreciated by most Christians. He risked his entire position in Jewish culture by marrying Mary, he followed Gods leading to keep Jesus safe as he grew up, and taught Him a trade to teach him what it really meant to be human.
