Today is the birthday of my first born child, Dodd. He doesnt do Facebook but Ill have my grandson share this with him. Dodd, you have been such a blessing to my life. As the firstborn you fit the bill of the poem To my first-born child, I love you best because.... although I have always tried very hard not to play favorites! You have always had a work ethic that was exemplary of many far older than you. Your integrity is impeccable and your sense of right and fairness is consistent. You are a wonderful son, grandson, brother, father, and friend with a loyalty to those you love and care about that never wavers. Your determination to whatever task you endeavor to accomplish is so admirable. Its been a joy to see the wonderful Dad you have become and how you strive to teach your sons the reality of life and how to become responsible young men who will be successful in their achievements. Anyone who truly knows and loves you is fortunate for the part you have played in their lives and as for me, you hold a piece of my heart that will always love you unconditionally for all of my life. May this next year be one that brings you peace and many blessings. As my wishes have always been- may you always be safe, healthy and happy. All my love always, Mom.
