Today is the day known as Palm Sunday. Jesus made His triumphant entry into a very dangerous place for Him at that time, Jerusalem. He rode upon a donkey into the gates of this city and was greeted with accolades and palm leaves as if He was a King returning to His people. But, His people, in truth, were far from Him, and the RELIGIOUS leaders at that time had plotted to destroy Him...which they did less than five days later. Being God, He knew this was His fate upon His entry. He also knew in His infinite wisdom and power of time that tge powerful and religious people of our day and humanistic age would be as far away from Him as the Jewish elite had been at that time. They hated Him because He was against any and all forms of religion and spoke staunchly to them about they SELF within this stance. And, so they despised Him for it...just like they do today.
