Today is the day where we are supposed to honor our veterans for their service, so here goes. War is a horrible thing. As a civilian, Im thankful that Ive never had to come face to face with an enemy trying to kill me. The thought of having a foreign entity on our soil, trying to eliminate us is terrifying to me. But there are those who are stronger than I am. They are the shield that keeps that terrifying reality at bay. These men and women work themselves to the bone, all around the world, to defend our freedoms, and the rights of all human beings on the planet. I dont agree with war for any except the most extreme circumstances (WW2 for instance) But My disagreement has everything to do with why politicians enter war, and nothing to do with the actions of our service men and women. You guys are awesome, in the true meaning of the word: You inspire awe within me. Your willingness to put aside your life so that millions of people who you have never met can live theirs is so unspeakably amazing that words just dont cut it. The best I can do is thus: Thank you, to all who have served, and given their lives. Thank you, to all who have served and given themselves. Thank you, to all who will serve, continuing to be a stand for freedom for all of us. Thanks, guys. You rock.
