Today marked the finale of the 2014 Classic Provincial Championships; the largest of its kind in OPA history. Dundas Valley Powerlifting Club took this task on last winter and provided us with a well run, memorable event. I would like to thank the tireless efforts of this team for making this happen. However, when we have an event of this magnitude, it isnt just the host club that is responsible for it. We all are. I was very happy to witness the participation and support of so many of our clubs and our members. We all staffed the platform, the head table and the referees chairs. In an organization such as ours, nothing of any significance happens without all of our participation. We all want to lift and compete. None of us can do that without also providing everything necessary to a competition. It was truly a pleasure to witness everyone cooperate and work together like the great organization and family that we have become. Julie Watkin President, Ontario Powerlifting Association
