Today marks 12 years since my brothers accident. He worked for Georgia Power and fell 60 feet and had 11 broke bones and was airlifted to Jacksonville, Florida once he was stabilized. We knew it was bad when they sent a helicopter to get my Mom and his wife and then took them to Atlanta and put them on a lear jet so they could get to Florida and see him before surgery. That drive was the longest drive ever not knowing if he would be alive when we got there. After many surgeries and lots of therapy he will never be 100% but he is able to get around and is with us today. Next week after 6 long months in the hospital and rehab my Dad will be coming home barring no complications and we have lots to learn between now and then as far as his oxygen, trach, and peg tube but I know we can do this because I know I come from a strong family and together there is nothing we cant do :)
