Today marks the 6th Anniversary of my son, Dannys lifesaving kidney transplant. Needless to say we are extremely humbled and appreciative of every day of health and happiness for Danny. He is truly the bravest and most courageous person I have ever known. He faces his disease every day with a strength and courage I could only dream of. God blessed us the day he was born. You cannot pick the road your life goes down, but you can chose to face it with hope and strength. Through all of this, my son has kept a smile on his face, a sense of humor, and love and kindness in his heart. When people wonder what life is about, he can tell you. From a young tender age, he has continued to face a life threatening disease. As hard as this has been for him and us, it also gave us an appreciation of the gift of life. From the moment during my pregnancy when the doctors asked us if we wanted to terminate the pregnancy - through this very day, we realize that life is fragile, precious and worth every second - no matter what each day brings - cherish it. Love you Dan and could not be any prouder.
