Today marks the first day of my annual battle with Suddenlink - - TopicsExpress

Today marks the first day of my annual battle with Suddenlink - for some reason my HD channels are basically unwatchable due to intermittent (as in every 3-5 minutes) pixalation and accompanying sound drop. If you are not looking at the screen, its like listening to a phonograph record (remember those anyone?) with numerous scratches. If youre watching you see the flashes of pixalation and frame freezes. Every year for the past three or four years I experience this from April to October - cold weather seems to cure it. I was just looking at my day-planner trying to figure out when I could schedule four days off from work for Suddenlink service calls. The first day would be for the first appointment where they dont show up and say they called, but no one was home. The second day would be for a service guy to show up, agree I have a problem, but decide he doesnt know how to fix it and hell escalate my service call to someone up the food chain. The third day would be for the expert to tell me the first guy didnt know what he was talking about, no big problem, hell just adjust the signal strength coming to my home, and all will be well. The fourth day will be for when I have to have another expert come out and try to fix the problem that reoccurred about two days after the first expert left. I have always suspected that a new cable line from the pole to my house would solve the problem, but Suddenlink disagrees. I would switch to a satellite service but I dont want to give up my internet speed. But ... maybe this is the year I switch.
