Today my copy of Heart Child arrived in the mail .. With much excitement I put it on and watched it straight away .. What can I say, I cried the whole way through it. Its not only an incredible Film, but a story that needs to be told, it has the potential to truly help people .... Heart Child is a powerful documentary about 29 year old Crys Worley, who is the mother of a 9 year old autistic child, Sasha. A remarkable story about a mothers struggle, not only with her own health, but the well being of her son. Committing to Sasha that she will never give up on him and inspired by the challenges parents of autistic children face, she started a nonprofit organisation called The A.Skate Foundation.... Skating with kids through acceptance, therapy, and education, this film documents her extraordinary journey! .... I stumbled onto A.Skate about 2 or so years ago, and the more I heard of Crys Worley and her story the more truly inspired I was by her! .. Shes a single mum, has major health issues, yet did as I did, researched the hell out of Autism, and drove herself into the ground to work with her child and others affected by it in the community .... THIS is why I so so want to share her work in Australia!! I really dont know where to start ?? Any suggestions would be wonderful ! ....
