Today my oldest daughter is leaving for Shanghai, China to begin a new chapter in her life. 3 months on her own in a foreign country, chasing a dream... I am proud of her for having the determination to follow her heart, to chase those dreams and to eventually catch them. My heart is breaking to see her go; letting your baby go is the hardest thing a mother can do. I have to trust that I taught her well; that she knows right from wrong, that she will make good choices and that she will be safe and surrounded by people who will care for her and make sure that she thrives. I wish for her success and fun and adventure and mostly that she comes home to me with wonderful stories and a new sense of personal growth. Lil P and I will miss her dearly. xoxox I love you Tanisha Amber. So very, very much. Now, off to the airport so I can have my nervous breakdown.
