Today was a big day! We went to Texas Childrens for our follow up with the single ventricle team and the congenital heart surgery team. Everyone agreed Aiden looked great! Soooo we are officially released from Texas Childrens Hospital! Here are a few pictures from today. One is of Aiden with the single ventricle team nurse practitioner, Angela. She has been the friendly face weve seen throughout this whole process. Shes taken care of Aiden, but shes also cared for me. Shes the voice of reason that calms the crazy heart momma brain. I will miss seeing her all of the time! Shes wonderful! The next is the scale. Every morning I weighed Aiden. Every. Single. Morning. I swear I held my breath as the weight popped up. I turned it in to Angela this morning. And the last is my happy boy waiting for our appointments. He is so sweet and Im so excited that I get to finally take this sweet boy home! Thank you for your continued prayers! We are looking forward to getting home and getting back to regular family life. Its almost been 5 months!
