Today was difficult.... Although I said good-bye to my father-in-law.. ( my exs father) .... Who I still referred to as such...at his home as he lie there.... Yes i laid next to him and hugged him as I said my good-byes. I attended the wake today.. Only ONE sibling and her spouse hugged me, as well as her children who were able to attend.... And thanked me for being there always for our Bubba. The others muttered barely a word as they calculated in their head the correct number of their inheritance....no mention of me was made in the obituary,nor was I asked to speak at his funeral. At this time my beautiful son showed his true colors.... His needs? The worn deck of cards that Bubba played solitaire with every morning..... With Gram, when she was alive and even to this day. The other ? A cardboard six pack container with 2 Hosmer Mountain cream soda bottles.... One for him, one for his cuz Timmy.....Bubba always made sure they were in the fridge for grandson visits!!! I am lucky to have known such an amazing man.... I hugged him forever, and you know what? ..... He started hugging back!!!! Love you Samuel J. Koller. I am ashamed at how your children are behaving.... Bubba,we know the relationship you and I had and we have said our good-byes...Hope Gram has a plate for you and doesnt complain too much about your attire!!! Ill keep an eye on JMK for you!
