Today was more than I could have imagined! I had no idea what to expect as far as turnout, and we had 110 registered participants! Not bad for a rookie:) The day went so smoothly and the support shown for my Dad was amazing!! This has been a rough few months for our family, and today is exactly what my Mom and I needed. The preliminary total just from today alone was over $9,000!!!!! That does not include prior donations, t-shirt sales, or gun raffle tickets. Just today!! The recipients of my Dads up-cycled awards were: Gradys Choice: George Criswell, 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Best in Show: Wayne Morris, 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS 396 Best Truck: Rich Lewis, 1981 Chevrolet Suburban Best Car: Pedro Lopez, 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS Best Motorcycle: Dave DeBaene, 1980 Honda 750 K Café Racer Veterans Choice: Alan Anderson, 1955 Chevrolet 210 I swear that I had an impartial judging team, although, Chevy came out on top. Thank you to everyone who took the time to spend today with us! We really appreciate it!
