Today was one of those keep the house going days,those days when you bust it all day (and in your head you hear the song.. the wheels of the bus go round and round round and round) because thats what moms do but you dont think anyone realizes all that goes into keeping the house going! Well I was wrong today.. read to the end.. it makes it all worth it! Morning started at 6, sent emails while cooking breakfast, Get dressed, Breely up, hair up, hair bow in, spelling words (STILL HATE THEM) on the way to school. Kiss same statement every morning. I love you, have a good day, make good choices, be the smart kid. door closes out the school drive. Call wake Bryant up, hes feeding when I get home, cook him breakfast, finish getting ready, load of laundry in dryer and another on in washer. Off to take Bryant to school, Kiss (yes my 15 yr old is so awesome he still gives me a kiss goodbye every morning) same statement every morning. I love you, have a good day, make good choices, be the smart kid. Meet up to buy pole bending bases (shhh its gonna be a present for Breely) off to Sams (whoop whoop - I did not spend over $500, and Im stocked up) stop at client to pick up project that they were proofing, unload Sams, to barn to catch blacksmith (thankful Brian Hoey just comes and does what I need without me here), turn chickens out, wash dog, start baking and working on computer in-between waiting on timer (we moms multitask like that) Cookies, brownies, for 75 JV players today and 75 varsity players tomorrow. Betsy swings in to help me, she clean Burtons apartment, my bathroom and folds what was in dryer (my village is amazing) Classmates mom took Bree to Park Day after school (thankful for another village member) Off to High School to deliver JV deserts for their pre-game meal, help set up pre-game meal, off to park to get Breely(spelling words on way home) send her to barn to feed horses & pen chickens,I start supper. Fresh ham steaks with carrots & onions, cream potatoes, peas, cabbage and squash. Shes back send her to shower (open house tonight), Burton walks in with fresh picked Okra (hmmm... tomorrow night)..BUT he stops walks over to the stove hugs my neck and says did you have a good day? Yes Good, well just know I appreciate you, and all the little things you do that you think no one notices, I notice them, you are great at it all and I appreciate you! BAM.. #newbeginings #sureisdifferent So as I tossed dinner in the warming drawer, Bryant came in from football, he goes to barn to turn horses out and clean stalls, I threw cloth on for open house as Im headed out the door he says Ill take Bryant to practice saddle bronc tonight As I drove to open house I have to tell myself .. someone does see it! SO tell someone tonight you appreciate them! Being appreciated makes a difference, it makes it all worth it! Then when I get to open house Breely has a picture drawn and it says Roses are red, violets are blue, dandelions are beautiful and so are you MOM well that just topped it off! ITS ALL WORTH IT! Back to reality I have to clean kitchen, lay down with Breely so we can you guessed it do Spelling words (did I say I STILL HATE SPELLING WORDS) .. But its easier to do them knowing your appreciated!
