Today we are grateful. Rundown on what happened: Leaving the parking garage from church & parking attendant advised me to move forward. I argued with him that I would as soon as my mom was in the car. I was frustrated but figured he was doing his job and I needed to not be confrontational, but I did not want mom to have to walk further than needed because she hurt already. As all the talking with the attendant was going on, I didnt realize that Cathy Loyd had opened the door and had one foot in the car, I let off of my brake and moved forward just enough that I swept mom off her feet and to the ground & partially under my van. Amber & I were distraught, to say the least, mom was in lots of pain, but gratefully, nothing was broken & she held on to the door of the car tight enough that she did not hit the concrete as hard or hit her head on the sidewalk, as I believed that she had. I am gateful for all the support & love. Especially thankful to one that I have named ANGEL, until I learn his name otherwise. He was the 1st there to calm mom, make sure she was ok and gave her his bible to hold her head up. Funny thing, NOT ONE person at the scene knows who this ANGEL is, that mom held so tightly to, and didnt want to let go of. Thank you to ALL that called for help, directed traffic, hugged, prayed and drove this hotmess home. I love you all!
