Today, we declare a revolution. A year after Typhoon Haiyan made a landfall. 1,000 kilometers and 40 days after we embarked on the Climate Walk journey. It is time to put our fate into our own hands. Today, we switch the power back to the people. Today we wage a war. The battle begins now at Ground Zero Tacloban. Please change your profile photo to our Climate Revolution icon today till our Climate Walkers come home to Manila on November 12, Wednesday. We will do this to signal the start of our Climate Revolution, that we are ready to wage a war against Climate Change. Here is our battle plan. 1. Change all your social media profile photos to our Climate Revolution icon until Nov. 12, Wednesday. We will do this every time we are in battle. 2. Post this part of our Declaration of Revolution statement in your social media account. Not another Haiyan. We stand with the #ClimateWalk #ClimateJustice now! I am proud to be part of the #ClimateRevolution 3. Share our FB, IG, Twitter posts – Let us start planting the seeds of the revolution to others as well. 4. Always use the #ClimateRevolution every time you post, share something online so your fellow revolutionaries would know as well that you are one of us. 5. Contribute to the revolution. Write articles. Take Photos. Do graphic design. Produce videos. Initiate action. Let us know what you have in mind. Let’s get the conversation going. This is just the first battle of our war. The first attack happens from today as we commemorate Yolanda till the UN Climate Talks this December 2014. Then, we gear up to our next battle till the UN Paris Talks in 2015. Prepare for battle.
