Today we got a call from a young couple whose beloved pet was struck by a vehicle, they like so many cannot afford the extensive medical cost for such an accident. When they brought out Odie he was so sweet and although in pain was very friendly and loving. The injuries were more than minor so we had them take Odie to the Urbana Vet Clinic for the medical attention he needed. X-rays show several fractures in his front right leg, the breaks were too severe and the leg must be amputated. The wonderful Vets are taking very good care of Odie and keeping his pain under control until he can have the surgery which is scheduled for Monday morning. We will be updating Odies status as we know it. I will also be posting information for anyone who would like to help offset the cost of Odies Surgery. Any donation is greatly appreciated!!!
