Today we got a lot of work done on the trails. At noon Tommy cut off all the PVC pipes from the puncheon bridge so its much safer. I understand a few of you had your heels pass your ears on that thing when you rode off the side so now it should be good. Tonight at the planned work time (Thursdays at 4-6:30) we had a talented crew of Eric, Bob, Bob, John and Jim. A number of trails were successfully leaf blown. The ONeal Trail (creek trail that is next to the backyards on Stonewall Jackson) was de rooted and shaped nearly all the way to its end. It had been getting pretty sketchy. Lots of hard work but a nice looking job. I think all the leaning and downed trees are cleared. See for yourself. The next planned trail work is this Sunday at 9 am-1 at the main trail head. Bob W. will be leading this and the primary goal is leaf removal and annoying root removal as needed too if there are enough people. If you can come, please bring a gas powered blower if you can bring one along with a small drink bottle of mixed fuel to carry with you. Thanks and thanks to all the volunteers who are making this place shine. Jim Frith
