Today we have confirmation from Parliament’s Business Select - TopicsExpress

Today we have confirmation from Parliament’s Business Select Committee of what Ed Miliband has been saying since 2011, because of the disastrous decision by the Tory-Lib Dem govt to increase tuition fees we are now sitting on a financial time bomb which undermines our university systems, one of our country’s greatest assets. Some estimates reckon that the current poorly thought-out regime will cost the tax payer £330 billion over the next thirty years, and taxpayers currently lose 45p for every £1 that we loan to students. Never mind the huge debts this forces on young shoulders who are going to carry much of the economic burdens created by their elders. Contrast this lack of investment in our young people with the amazing success of Jobs Growth Wales, a direct investment employment program run by the Welsh Government, which is responsible for employing over 10,000 young people in Wales and you see a clear reason why Labour is the party needs to win the next election and why Ed Miliband is our next PM. theguardian/education/2014/jul/22/student-loan-system-financially-unworkable-mps southwales-eveningpost.co.uk/Flagship-scheme-aiding-jobs-growth/story-21666275-detail/story.html
