Todays 3-2-1 Hit: I LIKE DREAMIN’ by Kenny Nolan. The guy who wrote My Eyes Adored You and Lady Marmalade (among others) and fronted early-disco studio groups Firefly and The Eleventh Hour later charted as a solo artist for a few years. This was by far his biggest solo single -- in my opinion one of the great wimp hits of all time, an honor sealed by the vocals and the almost non-stop use of the harp. The many key changes also likely made Barry Manilow jealous. Dreamin sold a million copies, hit #3 for a week in March 1977 and spent more than half a year on the Hot 100.
