Todays Asher Update: We met with the Pediatric Pulmonogy staff at St. Marys hospital today and heres how it went... First off, the Nurse Practitioner was amazing. Hands down the best beside manner EVER. She was detailed, knowledgeable, and offered to be our family at the hospital since we dont have any in Richmond :-) Asher had a chest X-ray which still shows some abnormalities, although were still not sure what. We go tomorrow for an upper GI to try and find out what. We are looking at the following possibilities: reflux, structural issues (there are many possibilities here alone), a very difficult virus that has persisted... the list goes on. We will know more by early next week and determine the next course of action from there. For now, she tells us our Asher is not in any immediate danger, but obviously has the potential to be significantly ill. She also assured us we would get to the bottom of all of this, it was only a matter of time and testing. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, as we are also in the process of moving, Alainnah is transitioning to a new classroom and still adjusting to how crazy her little life has been lately. Andy and I are hanging in and hanging on, and could certainly use your continued support. I will continue to update as the information becomes available.
