Todays Devotional 1. God parted the red sea and children of Israel walked on dry land. Do you really believe that? You’ve got to, or else you might get yourself stuck at the red sea of life where going forward seems impossible and the enemy seems to be closing in from behind. Another example. 2. The fish swallowed Jonah Do you really believe that? If you don’t, then you don’t really believe God’s word! In fact, your belief in God’s word has to get to a stage that if the Bible had said, it was Jonah that swallowed the whale, you would still have believed! That’s crazy, isn’t it? You see, the spirituals extend beyond the cognitive, because we are talking about God here! God doesn’t make sense! One more example. 3. Joshua commanded the sun to stop Do you really believe that? If you don’t believe that, then you don’t really believe that God can collapse the years on your behalf, that God can alter seasons to your advantage, that God can restore the years that the devil has stolen, and that God can make you forget the shame of your youth! Okay one last example. 4. Jesus asked Peter to withdraw money from the mouth of the fish like you will do on an ATM Do you really believe that? If you don’t believe that, where is the place of supernatural provision? If all you believe is what your labour can give you, you will be amazed when you see a man operating under His favour, because ten years of labour cannot often deliver what one day of favour can do for you! My question again this morning to you is, do you really believe? That even though there has been marital delay in past years, but you are getting married in 2015. That there might have been years of joblessness, but the heaven is opening over you in 2015. That the marriage might have ben a troubled one, but God is bringing healing and perfection. Do you really believe God?
