Todays Message: THE LORD REMEMBERS OUR SINS NO MORE Praise the Lord!!! Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more (Hebrews 10:17) Thank God! He not only separates our sins from us, but He blots them out of His book of remembrance, and remembers them against us no more. Once a preacher preached of this verse, “I will blot them out of the book of remembrance forever in a church at Kentucky. After his sermon Brother Morris got up and told of the sins he had committed when he was in his youth, how he had been a gambler, a drunkard and a sinner in the sight of God. While he was talking, the preacher looked at Brother Morris old mother. She was twisting and turning and it seemed as if she could not control herself. She seemed to go to pieces. When Bother Morris had sat down and the service was over, she ran up to him threw her arms around his neck and said, Son, what made you say that? What made you say that you were a gambler and a drunkard! I know you have always been good. That precious old mother has forgotten that her son had ever been a sinner. The preacher learnt the true meaning of the verse he had preached just an hour ago in the church. Glory to God! he said. Though sunk in the depths of sin, God not only forgives us, but blots our sins out of the book of remembrance forevermore. He looks at us as if we have never sinned! Micah 7:19 says that God treads our sins underfoot and hurls all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. What a good God He is! Dear friends, let us not keep recollecting our past sins and feel guilty about them. Let us not also elaborately explain them now and then while sharing our testimony with others, because at that very moment we confessed our sins, the Lord had forgiven them and had forgotten them too. So, as people cleansed by the blood of Jesus, with grateful heart let us start living a brand new life. Let us put off our old self which was polluted and corrupted and go forwards in our spiritual journey renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit every day. PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You do not look at my terrible past. You do not accuse me, nor are you angry with me forever. The moment I confessed my sins to you, you forgave them and remember them no more. Thank you for your unconditional love. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
