Todays Message: Understanding what God hate. Text: Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORd hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him; A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that south discord among brethren. 1. A proud look: This speaks of someone looking down upon others. 2. Lying tongue: This describes a person that speaks falsehood, knowingly and willingly, with an intention to deceive others. 3. Hands that shed innocent blood: This refers to murder. We may not have taken part in killing someone, but he that hates anyone is a murderer. 4. A heart that devises wicked imagination: This is an act of conceiving evil against any individual or group for personal benefit. The heart of an evil man brings about ways to bring others to ruin, whether physically or spiritually. 5. Feet that be swift in running to mischief: Those whose feet are quick to rush into evil can not please God neither can they have a place in Gods heart. 6. A false witness that speaketh lies: This form of lying is capable of sending an innocent person to jail or even lead to him being stone to death. Exodus 20:16 says, thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbour. God condemn such spirit. 7. And he that soweth discord among brethren: Believers are brothers and sisters since we have one Father, one LORD and one Baptism. The church is the bride of Christ. Anyone who causes disruption to peace in the body of Christ will displease God above all.
