Friday January 24th, 2014 by Pastor Anita Oyakhilome And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18). Your primary responsibility in the world, as a Christian, is to establish God’s righteousness here on earth; it’s the reason He didn’t take you straight to heaven after you gave your heart to Christ. Through you, He wants to birth more churches, missions, and outreaches—in your city, state, country, and in the nations of the world. You’re His partner in soul winning and in discipleship. He’s committed to you the ministry of reconciling sinners and the lost in the world to righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:18). There’s a depth in God you’ll never know except as a soul winner. There’s a power in the Kingdom of God that’ll not be released within your system until you start sharing the Word about Jesus. You’ll function in such extraordinary wisdom which no one can resist or gainsay when you’re a soul winner. Soul winning and discipleship is what He’s called you to do; that’s in fact the calling of every believer. Some Christians say, “I don’t know if I’m called of God into the ministry”; you don’t need any other “calling!” you were called into ministry when Jesus said “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). You might say, “O, I thought He was addressing Peter, James, John, and the other disciples”; no, He was talking to you and me. When you make soul winning your life commitment God’s presence will be manifested in you, and through you, in a very special way—much more than you could ever imagine. He’ll show Himself alive to you and through you in an extraordinary way. Don’t wait for another sign or message from heaven. God has already sent you and anointed you to preach the Gospel: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Prayer I thank you precious Father, for your anointing on me is effective in soul winning. The Gospel is impacting lives through me today, as I proclaim it with the power of the Spirit, and wisdom which no man can resist or gainsay, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
