Todays Supreme Court ruling is merely evidence of our justices - TopicsExpress

Todays Supreme Court ruling is merely evidence of our justices inability to understand medical issues from womens standpoints. Not everyone who is affected by the ruling today is a woman, but women are the target. Im going to share a story with you, because I feel it sheds light on the situation at hand. When I was 19, I had to go to the ER one day. I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts. I was told that in time if I didnt do anything about it I would have to get surgery. You see, the kind that I had is a form of tissue that gets left behind during the menstrual cycle. Over time, it builds up and becomes very painful. While other kinds of ovarian cysts do exist, the only form of treatment for this type is birth control and pain medication. My biological parents hold very similar views to the folks at Hobby Lobby, and I was afraid to explain to them how birth control is literally the only form of treatment that I could take. Despite their similar views, they understood, and this is where lobbying efforts and people differ. People come to understand things; lobbying efforts pursue their agendas endlessly. Denying access to birth control isnt about religious beliefs but about denying access to health, and its #notmybossbusiness.
